Mwangi Kiunjuri Sends a Stern Warning to DP Ruto, Reveals How DP Wants to Kill Mt Kenya Politics

Mwangi Kiunjuri, leader of the Service Party (TSP), has warned Deputy President William Ruto against his call for a 6-piece voting pattern, saying it would weaken Mt. Kenya leaders.

Kiunjuri said at the opening of TSP offices in Kathwana, Tharaka Nithi County, that Mt. Kenya leaders should be firm in their resolve to protect their political vehicles, as this will earn them respect in the eyes of presidential candidates they wish to support.

"Kama vyama vya kisiasa lazima tuheshimiane, don't say you are frustrated when you are also attempting to frustrate others. It will be risky if we all get into the same vehicle." Kiunjuri stated.

The TSP leader stated that pre and post-election coalitions will be formed only if existing political parties support them.

"Sasa hivi unataka kumaliza vyama vingine, lakini hujui kule mbeke kutakuwa aje, lakini you may require our assistance huko mbele," he continued.

While advocating for a mix-and-catch voting pattern, Kiunjuri stated that party euphorias may produce poor leaders who rely solely on party popularity but have no tangible development records to show.

"Msichague vyama, chagueni viongozi ambao matendo yao yanaonekana.Atuambie ni nini amefanya, mtu asikuje hapa kuwaimbia wimbo ya chama, atuambie yale amefanya, "Kiunjuri added.

Political activities has increased in the Mt. Kenya region, with each political contender vying for a share of the vote.
