After being named the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya running mate candidate, Martha Karua immediately returned to her home county of Kirinyaga.
Thousands of her supporters greeted her upon her arrival, but during one of her stops, a section of the crowd heckled her.
According to a video clip posted by TV47 on their social media handle, a section of the audience could be heard shouting UDA slogans and Ruto's name during Karua's speech.
The atrocity occurred just one day after Karua chastised rival politicians for disrupting other people's rallies.
"When you see the competition disrupting meetings, it tells you they are terrified of what is going on in the mountain," Karua explained.
Karua's statement on Monday could have been a foreshadowing of what would happen to her the next day in her home tuff.
Karua's homecoming incident, on the other hand, faded quickly, and she continued to address her ecstatic supporters.
