Bitter Exchange Between UDA's Malala And Azimio MP Hon. Atandi On Live Interview On Cost Of Living

MP Sam <a class=Atandi: DP Gachagua said they found empty coffers yet he was given Sh.300 million to buy cars - YouTube"/>While speaking this morning in an interview with Citizen TV, UDA Secretary General and former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and Alego Usonga Member of Parliament Hon. Samuel Atandi have had a bitter exchange especially on the high cost of living as they shared their divergent views.

The Azimio MP, while speaking to the Kenya Kwanza Administration has continued to fire his shots and blaming the Government for its failure to lower the cost of living since ascending to power about five months ago.

While defending the Kenya Kwanza Administration, the UDA Secretary General stated that what is affecting Kenya's economy is the monopolization of some key sectors of the economy by specific individuals in the Nation. ''Atandi is lamenting about the cost of High fuel yet he knows the owner of Rubis, they have monopolized that industry, he is complaining about the cost of food stuff and yet he knows the owner of Brookside, he is complaining about the high cost of LPG yet he knows the single owner of gas in Kenya.'' stated the UDA party secretary.Cleophas Malala: I resigned from ANC in anticipation of being appointed a CS in Ruto's government - YouTube

The agitated Atandi who could not keep silent fired at Malala asking why President Ruto has not been able to bring down the cost of eggs being an egg farmer. ''Has Ruto brought down the cost of eggs, are we eating cheaper eggs today,'' lamented the MP. It was until Trevor Ombija intervened that the Azimio MP Samuel Atandi who had interrupted Malala decided to calm down.

According to Malala, if the people of Azimio are genuine about bringing down the cost of living, they should start with bringing down the gas prices which is believed to be owned by the Odinga Family. The UDA Secretary further refuted claims by Hon. Atandi claiming that the UDA party is a tribal party stating that the ruling party is a reflection of the face of Kenya.

''Hon. Atandi wants to paint the ruling party as a tribal party, the ruling party is not a tribal party, in fact the party that has depicted the highest level of Nationalism is UDA,'' stated the former Kakamega Senator. According to Malala, the leadership of UDA right from the position of the chair has depicted inclusivity that reflects the party's state of reflecting the face of Kenya.
