She will be leading in the tree planting exercise as part of the great initiative that was started by His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto.

On Wednesday, she noted that the initiative is aimed at building knowledge around environmental conservation, offering protection and increasing our forest cover by discouraging deforestation and motivating people to plant more trees.

At the same time, environmentalists from various parts of the country have called on the government to streamline the distribution of seedlings to help them in their plans to plant 10 billion trees in a decade.

The environmentalists, consisting of various Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) said KFS should also offer training on the best tree species that should be planted in specific parts of the country to help in their survival rates.
