After criticizing prominent members of the Azimio party for not having the deep state's support in the August general elections, President Ruto incited laughter in Mtwapa.
According to the video going viral on social media, President Ruto congratulated the coastal area for giving him a resounding victory over the Azimio bigwigs who boasted of having the support of the deep state and the system throughout the campaign as he opened the Mtwapa-Kwa Kadzengo route.
President Ruto uttered the words, "Yaani mlinipigia kura mpaka wale walikuwa wanasema wako na deep state wakazama, nyinyi ni watu Wa Mungu," to the amusement of the Mtwapa locals.
Three months have passed since President Ruto launched an attack against the Kenya Kwanza team, which defeated the Azimio Coalition team in the general elections of August. 
The Kenya Kwanza team only trusted in the power of the people, whereas the Azimio Coalition team had the backing of the government and the system's top machinations.
