The proposal to ammend about thirty percent of the 2010 constitution in the country by William Samoei Arap Ruto has opened a new conversation. This is a move that has been addressed by various leaders both from the opposition and those in government.
George Kaluma has advised members of parliament and Kenyans at large to avoid proposals from a new president to ammend the constitution. He was keen to note that allowing this is giving a key to them to access further amendments later in future.
He was keen to note that a dictator begins to behave as if he is oriented with people and later show his character once he clinches onto power. This are allegations that cannot be substantiated since the amendments are yet to be drafted and this was only a mere suggestion to introduce the office of the opposition leader.
