Laikipia County Governor Hon Nderitu Mureithi, who is also the Jubilee Party Gubernatorial candidate in the same county has fired back to Deputy President Dr William Ruto, for claiming that he nearly slapped President Uhuru Kenyatta and also threatening to investigate the Head of State if he clinches the top seat.
Speaking during a campaign meeting in Laikipia today as quoted by the Standard Newspaper, Nderitu told Ruto that the people of the mountain are tired with his threats of wanting to slap and also going to investigate President Uhuru Kenyatta if he wins presidency. He told Ruto to dare slap of investigate Uhuru after the election as he is claiming and he will see fire, since the mountain region leaders like him who are the sons of Mau Mau fighters can react and take action against him. He added that it is only that they have chosen to be peaceful despite Ruto's threats.
