The issue of land seems to be now taking a center stage in the political scenes. Deputy President William Samoei Arap Ruto earlier found himself in the murky waters over 2500 acres of land in Coastal Region which he later alleged he was gifted by former MP Basil Criticos.

The issue of land is now far from over in the political scene after a daring promise by the second in command over a piece of land in Narok region.

During his campaign in Narok region, he revealed that his government would embark on compulsory acquisition of the 75,000-acre Kedong Ranch and Rose farm - both in Narok County and have been claimed by the local community

Kedong Ranch is privately owned and has been linked to some members of the Kenyatta family who are reported to be among the 23 shareholders of the mother company - Kedong Company.

The Deputy President alleged that the issue of the land had taken so long to settled and his government will sort it out once and for all.

It should be noted also that land issue in the coast has also formed the basis of campaign in the two factions, Azimio- One Kenya Alliance and the Kenya Kwanza Alliance brigades.
