On July 3, 2022, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance coalition lenders, led by Raila Odinga, visited Homabay county to advance their agenda. Raila Odinga was accompanied in Homabay county by his running mate Martha Karua, cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi, Kalonzo Musyoka, and other local Azimio supporters.
Through his Facebook page, Raila Odinga shared several images from his rally and thanked the Homebay people for their warm welcome. He also promised them that, should he win the August elections, he would ensure that the Homabay people are recognized in his government and that all Kenyans would receive free primary school to university education and health care.
Additionally, Raila Odinga, the former prime minister and head of the Orange Democratic Movement party, as well as Martha mocked the Kenya Kwanza manifesto, which was unveiled on Thursday by Kenya's deputy president William samoi Ruto.
