The most recent opinion poll done by the People's Daily has revealed that the August 9 election would provide intriguing results. The poll reveals that Sakaja and Igathe are neck and neck, and it is evident that either candidate might win the August 9 elections. The two have a 50/50 chance of success.

The poll indicates that if elections were held today in the city, Igathe and Sakaja would each receive 50 percent of the vote. This confirms that Sakaja's support has been declining exponentially while Igathe's support has been increasing at an extremely rapid rate.
Given his increasing support and the next election on August 9, it is only a matter of time until Igathe is elected as the next governor. Sakaja and Igathe are engaged in a fierce conflict due to their competing political objectives.
Remember that Igathe is late to the Nairobi political scene, given that Sakaja was already on the ground campaigning intensively and substantially. Given that opinion surveys can only anticipate hypothetical political events, only God knows who will be elected.
