According to Sylvanus Osoro who is currently hosting Ruto in Kisii today, the area Deputy governor Joash Maangi has tried more than once to work with Raila Odinga but it has all been in vain. His Speech sending the crowd into laughter in the presence of Ruto.

According to Osoro, Maangi has defected from ODM twice a clear indication that the ODM party has failed to impress in the region and therefore cannot be marketed in the area which once perceived to be a Raila Odinga stronghold as as the 2017 polls when he contested as president.
Ruto who is in the company of local leaders from the area has revealed that he has a well cut out plan for the region and therefore it is the responsibility of the locals to give him leaders that he can comfortably work with in order to attain the much-needed prosperity of the area.
