Martha Karua Responds to DP Ruto's Call of Dissolving Small Parties

Kenya is a multi party state that has a number of political parties led by different political leaders. According to the history, Kenya was declared a multi party system in 1992 under the era of the late president Daniel Toroitich Moi.

Narc Kenya party leader Hon Martha Karua has dismissed deputy president Dr William Ruto's call of dissolving small parties and forming a major one ahead of the 2022 polls.

Narc Kenya leader added on saying that the risk of dissolving small parties and joining one party is dangerous as one risks being expelled if he or she talks bad about the party leadership.

Giving an example of Jubilee party that was formed after different small political parties dissolved in before 2017 general elections. Jubilee party was formed after TNA of president Uhuru Kenyatta and URP of William Ruto mutually agreed to form one party.
