
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has reduced claims that he is vying for Mwala Parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.
In his twitter account Mutua said that he was not vying for any elective seat rather he was busy concentrating on garnering support for Kenya Kwanza coalition as well as campaigning for William Ruto.
"For avoidance of doubt, I wish to clarify that at this particular time, I am not running for any elective position in the forth
coming elections. I am concentrating on campaigning for the Kenya Kwanza coalition so that Kenya can get a new system where dreams can come true," tweeted Mutua.
News of the governor vying for Mwala Parliamentary seat emerged online where it was being said that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision and put his name for the candidacy of Mwala Constituency under Maendeleo Chap Chap Party.
Mutua joined Kenya Kwanza coalition after ditching Azimio la Umoja for what he termed as lack of transparency when they were signing the coalition document.
