(Photo) Prisoners Of War Captured By TPLF Show Their Support For The People And Government Of Tigray

Tigray Region officially the National Regional State of Tigray is the northernmost regional state in Ethiopia. The Tigray region is the homeland of the Tigrayan, Irob and Kunama people. Tigray is also known as region 1 according to the federal constitution. It's capital and largest city is Mekelle. Tigray is the fifth-largest by area, the fifth-most populous, and the fifth most densely populated of the 10 Regional States.

The war in Tigray began on 3 November 2020 and is still ongoing. Today, prisoners of war in Tigray were spotted expressing solidarity with the people of Tigray. This is according to a social media post by Getachew K. Reda, an advisor to the acting President of the Tigray Region, Debretsion Gebremichael.

The social media post by Getachew read, "Prisoners of war in Tigray came out en masse yesterday to express solidarity with the people of Tigray. They also expressed their gratitude to the people and government of Tigray for the humane treatment it has accorded them."

The post by Getachew K. Reda was followed by a video showing a huge crowd showing solidarity with Tigray and its government.
