Nandi County senator Samson Cherargei has reacted to president Wiliam Ruto's move to tour Luo Nyanza region as he launches development projects despite the region having voted for his opponent former prime minister Raila Odinga overwhelmingly in the August 2022 general elections.
The United Democratic Alliance party member of Parliament noted that president William Ruto's plan is to ensure that the entire country gets the development and all the regions are included in the development agenda without discrimination despite their political affiliation.
However, the vocal lawmaker noted that despite Ruto's move to include all the regions in the development agenda, the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party must just play their role as the opposition side and must oversight the government.
The Nandi county senator noted that the good working relationship between President William Ruto and opposition governors does not in any way mean that there is a handshake or rather a political truce between him and the opposition. According to him, the head of state is just showing maturity in democracy.
"H.E Ruto shall not leave any part of kenya in terms of unity and development regardless of their political affiliations/voting." He posted on his official social media pages.
"This does NOT anyway mean an handshake but opposition shall continue playing their rightful place. Maturity in democracy" The ardent critic of Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party added.
The president as well has promised to ensure that the entire country gets a share of national cake and are included in his plan for the country, this made him tour the region seen as a stronghold of former prime minister Raila Odinga.https://twitter.com/scherargei/status/1614192347876675586?t=JAvO09-ZudJxtxJI3J0n-g&s=19
