General elections are scheduled to be held in Kenya on 9 August 2022. Voters will elect the President, members of the National Assembly and Senate, county governors and members of the 47 county assemblies.
Malindi Member of Parliament (MP) Aisha Jumwa has refuted claims that she has decamped from Deputy President's party United Democratic Alliance to join the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
According to a video posted by a local media house,Aisha Jumwa has urged Kilifi people that She can never go back to Raila Odinga's camp.In the video,she also revealed that she is one of the founders of UDA.
UDA party, which is heavily associated with Deputy President William Ruto, has been rumoured to have enticed Jumwa by gifting her a luxurious house to ditch Raila and back Ruto’s presidential bid.
