The National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) party leader has been dealt a huge blow after the elders from the mountain region have said they had blessings for only one person.
Speaking from Kigumo, Murang'a County as indicated in a publication on the People's Daily Newspaper, the council of elders have insisted they will not crown another person as the region's spokesperson since they had already appointed Speaker Muturi for the role which cannot be played by more than one person. Adding to that, they have stated that they are only involved in blessing leaders to pursue their mission but totally not involved in politics.
"We are like biblical Isaac the father of Jacob and Esau who had blessing to give to one person...we gave Muturi the blessings for the mission and we don't follow him in his political meetings." Said their Patron Kung'u.
This comes a week after leaders from the region had endorsed Martha Karua to be their spokesperson on an interim basis to negotiate on behalf of the region.
