Political leaders across the country are busy popularizing their political bids ahead of the next general election. Presidential candidates have been traversing in different parts of the country to meet their supporters and local residents.
One of them is deputy president William Ruto. The presidential candidate has been hosting various delegations at his official residence in Karen. The deputy president has also traversed different parts of the country popularizing his presidential bid and his new bottom-up economic model.
Today the deputy president and his campaign troop will camp in Ukambani region. Various leaders from the region allied to UDA party are expected to attend the meeting. The meeting will be held in Kitui county which is one of the three counties of Ukambani region.
Local residents have flocked in the meeting venue ready to receive the deputy president and other UDA allied leaders. Various issues affecting the region are expected to be addressed in the meeting. Politics will also dominate in the meeting.
Various leaders from the region have publicly endorsed the deputy president for presidency. The leaders are led by Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai, former Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke, former Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama among other elected leaders.
