The former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) secretary general Mukhisa Kituyi is set to launch his 2022 presidential bid today Sunday 14th where he will be joining the deputy president William Ruto, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi among other potential candidates in the race.
According to the reports, the former Kimilili member of Parliament's convoy will start from the JKIA along Jogoo road where he is rumoured to attend a church service at Friends Makadara Church then later to Serena Hotel for official launch.
This comes days after the 65 year old leader quit the United Nations lucrative job on February 3rd to mark the end of his tenure at the UNCTAD which is non-renewable.
The former Kimilili lawmaker's tenure is expected to expire on September 2021 but the urge to rule his home country couldn't let him finish the term.
Kituyi had engaged a team of lawmakers and professionals allied to him at his Bungoma county to channel proper ways that could make him cling to the country's top seat.
Could Mukhisa Kituyi become the Mulembe kingpin and takeover from other leaders? Could Mukhisa be the solution to the Mulembe Unity? It is just a matter of time, let's wait and see what the ex secretary general for UNCTAD has for his Mulembe people.
