After his son committed suicide early this year,nominated mp at that time David Sankok decided to quit politics something he announced publicly and went silent.He came back to politics in June but was not vying for any political seat.
When EALA Mp slots were announced,Sankok was among the people who applied for the position.UDA Party then nominated him among five others for the position and lucky enough he was elected as EALA mp.
This attracted alot of remarks from Kenyans and politicians who questioned why he was elected as EALA mp and he had announced to quit politics.He has today defended himself and said by saying he will quit he meant he is retiring from Kenyan local politics.
He either said he is excusing Kenyans because English is not our language.He either said he is in East African politics and not local politics of Kenya.He has vowed to represent Kenya very well
