Keroche boss, Madam Tabitha Karanja is over the moon after clinching the Nakuru City County's Senatorial seat under the United Democratic Alliance, UDA party which is led by Deputy President William Ruto.
Taking to her Twitter account on Friday August 12th, Karanja first thanked God for the victory as well as the residents of Nakuru and her supporters for trusting her with the seat in the next five years, assuring them that she will deliver without favoritism.
" I want to promise and assure my electorates of Nakuru county that I will work tirelessly, effectively and efficiently to see their growth and advancement."
She did not fail to recognize the efforts of her family led by her husband, Mr Joseph Karanja and her children led by Anerlisa Muigai.
"To my family, my husband, my children you were and still are my number one supporters. I will forever be grateful for the unwavering support and love you showed me in my Senatorial ambitions and political dreams," she tweeted.
She went on to call upon Kenyans to maintain peace and unity as they await the results of the presidential race, which has been neck to neck between the UDA presidential candidate, DP William Ruto, and the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance candidate Raila Odinga.
Karanja succeeds Senator Susan Kihika after getting 442864 votes.
