Thank you again my dear readers and welcome warmly to my daily news updates.
The Democratic Republic of Congo DRC has been in the limelight in recent months due to the heavy fighting between M23 rebels and other groups against President Felix Tshisekedi's forces.
This is what necessitated many nations in the Great Lakes Region and EAC to start the dialogue in a bid to end that war mostly in the eastern part of DRC, especially in Kivu Province.
The peace talks are ongoing here in Nairobi and they are facilitated by Kenya's former President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders like EAC Chairman Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi and Angola President Joao Lourenco.
Today, Rwanda President Paul Kagame has indicated that at some point he requested DRC to allow his nation to deal with FDLR but DRC refused.
"I previously requested DR Congo to allow us to handle the FDLR and they refused, little did I know that they were working together." He lamented.
