The Orange Democratic movement youth league in West pokot county left by their chairman Mr. Isaiah Mungan held s meeting in Kapenguria town to plan party activities in the region including drumming up support for the Building Bridges Initiative.

The meeting came a few hours after the National Executive committee officials of the party met in Nairobi to discuss the party issues and to put forward the guidelines to be followed by the party as it prepared for the next general elections.

The NEC organ proposed that the party immediately embarks on grassroots elections exercise at the polling station level in accordance with the party constitution.

It also directed that the National Elections Board convenes an urgent meeting to set the dates for the grassroots elections exercise in the various parts of Kenya.

The ODM party in the recent past has seen a beehive of activities which are aimed at strengthening it to be competitive come 2022 general elections.
