Dennis Itumbi Breaks Silence as Nzioka Takes Over his Former Job at State House

Former Digital Strategist in State House Dennis Itumbi has broken his silence after President William Ruto nominated David Nzioka to his former position.

Through a statement on his social media pages Itumbi congratulated Nzioka, whom he said were fired together by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He said God had seen them through the tribulations and rhat he had now returned to State House as the Digital Strategist boss

"Congratulations to the new State House Digital and Innovations boss - David Nzioka - a few years ago we were kicked out - Today you return as The Secretary Digital. Nevertheless GOD! Well done. I wish you well as you serve bro" read Itumbi'spost.

He thanked President William Samoei Ruto for "Investing In Dreams" and believing the youth.

He was welcomed by communications team led by Director of Communications in Ruto's office.

In a circular from the Public Service Commission dated March 18, 2020, the positions held by Itumbi, James Kinyua, Erick Ng’eno, David Nzioka and John Ndolo were declared redundant.

“The contracts of the underlisted officers be terminated in accordance with the termination clause in their contracts to facilitate payment of gratuities on prorata basis,” the circular reads.

The abolished positions are Senior Director, Communication (Digital, Innovation and Diaspora Communication); Senior Director, Communication (Events and Branding); Senior Director, Communication (Speech Writing); Director, Communication (Events and Branding) and Principal Information Officer (Head of Digital Strategies)
