Kenyans are heading to a decisive day on August 9 where they will hold the long anticipated day they have been waiting for the past five years. Though they are all keeping a close ate on the presidential race, they also consider the politics of the lower levels of government such as the county, wards and constituencies.
Kenyans.co.ke conducted a survey on the most preferred candidate for the Gubernatorial seat in the county Kirinyaga. The race that is depicted as a two horse race between UDA Candidate Ann Waiguru who is also the incumbent governor and independent candidate Purity Ngirici.
Recent polls have been putting a neck to neck race between this ambitious and powerful women though Ngirici has been leading.
According to the poll results, Ann Waiguru would have retained her seat leading at a far distance of 63%. Her competitor Purity Ngirici manages to get 37%. This is bad News for Ngirici pushing her to work an extra mile to win the seat.
