Senator Isaac Mwaura has denied unfounded reports that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi will be the Deputy President in the newly formed ANC-UDA political marriage.
This comes just hours after Mudavadi's and William Ruto's parties joined forces at the ANC Delegates Conference, promising to fix the country's ailing economy in time for the 2022 General Election.
Mwaura revealed during an interview on the ktn news morning show that the Deputy President position in their political camp was vacant, but whoever will fill that position comes from Mount Kenya.
"If we (the ANC and the UDA) decide to collaborate ahead of the elections, there can only be one president. I want to reassure Mount Kenyans that the Deputy President must be from our region. More information will be provided," Mwaura said.
Mwaura also revealed that there was a very good reason why Mount Kenya region leaders Anne Waiguru, Rigathi Gachagua and Alice Wahome were given a chance to speak.

This has raised speculations that DP Ruto might choose his running mate among the three leaders.
