The Western Kenya is an important region when it comes to General Elections. The area has a huge population which often makes politicians 'fight' for the region. In preparation for the oncoming 2022 General Elections, politicians have proposed a formula for government sharing to entice the Western people.

To begin with, the Azimio la Kenya Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has promised to reserve 20% of his government to Western Kenya. He has also promised to give the position of Finance Minister to a person from the region to uplift the region. Raila has already promised the position of the Chief Minister to Hon Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kenya Kwanza, on the other hand has promised the Western Kenya 30% of the government and the position of the Chief Minister.

Both promises from Chief Presidential candidates is giving the people and the leaders of Western Kenya a tough time deciding what side to take.
