Residents Seek Whereabouts of "Missing" Governor, MPs 100m Demand Bribe to Revive Sugar Company

Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga allegedly missing in action.

His precise location is yet to be traced.

Siaya County Governor H.E. Cornel did not accompany His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta and the Opposition Chief Raila Odinga when they were commissioning projects within his territory ahead of the Madaraka Day fete.

The Talk of Town has it that his absentia at the Madaraka Day fete venue was loud and disturbing.

His proponents and Siaya residents have raised questions over his dormancy. On the other hands, Siaya County officials claimed that he made a tour of the US for personal reasons.

Parallel to the above narration, it has been spilled that parliamentarians from the Western Region of Kenya have been demanding bribes from firms to influence the award of a tender meant to revive a sugar factory within the region.

Reports have it that a firm with huge financial muscles that was ready to invest more than five billions in the revival pulled out of the contest after Members of National Assembly from the region demanded a hundred million Shillings as a prerequisite for the tender.

Snitches have it that the other interested parties are at crossroads and will broadcast their resolutions shortly.

Brokers and cartels have allegedly been using the dead factory to facilitate the importation of counterfeit sugar from neighboring countries for their personal benefits.

Same scenario was evidenced as the government strived to revive the former pan paper industry.

It seems that Kenyan MPs have devoted their efforts to suppress their constituents to a life of poverty, pain and anguish.
