Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by William Ruto had now accused president Uhuru Kenyatta secretly sold three ports to a Dubai-based firm, Dubai Port World FZE.
According to the Local newspaper, Kenya kwanza principal and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, state that president Uhuru Kenyatta illegally sold the ports of Mombasa, Lamu and Kisumu during fallout between uhuru and his deputy, William Ruto.In a statement by Kenya kwanza which was shared by the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Director of Communications, Wanjohi Githae, Kenya Kwanza alleged that Uhuru make the deal to auction the port during his secret trips to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the final deal sealed during Raila Odinga's birthday party held in Mombasa.Ruto's faction argued that Uhuru assented to the deal that will see the Dubai-based company take over operations at the three ports. The team demanded explanation on how the process used to award the tender, they are terming that it was the Scandal that has never happened in the country.
