The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) has declined to charge former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and his lawyer Danstan Omari. The Former Interior Cabinet Secretary and his lawyer Danstan Omari were under probe by the Director Criminal Investigation following the reported police raid at his Karen home in Nairobi last month. After these investigation were dropped against the Former Uhuru's CS, Matiang'i has announced his next move politically.
Matiang'i claims that he is now fully focused on private life and that is why he has never appeared in Azimio's rallies despite being a big fan of Azimio leader Raila Odinga. Since the start of Raila's rallies, Matiang'i has attended none as he remains firm that he will not participate in protest as he is only focused on his private life. Sources have revealed that the once Education CS is not interested in Azimio's leadership. Matiang'i was behind Raila in last general election and after failing, it seems that the former CS wants to live a private life and not politics. Do you think this is the best decision for Matiang'i?
