Here is How Much Money it Cost to Print 2022 General Elections Ballot Papers in Greece

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision has come under fire over the last few days with regards to the next General Elections and how well they are prepared for it.

Yesterday, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga who is also vying for the top seat for a record sixth time, said that he might boycott the August General Elections if there will be no manual voter register at each of the polling stations across the country.

His words have been echoed by members of his camp while the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision Chairman and National Returning Officer, Wafula Chebukati refuting the claims.

Wafula Chebukati also said that the first batch of the ballot papers to be used in the next General Elections have been printed and will be arriving in the country in the next few hours as per the reports that we have.

According to reliable reports reaching us just now, the cost of printing the papers has been revealed to the public by the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision, IEBC.

The Chief Executive Officer of IEBC, Marjan Hussein, has confirmed that the papers will cost a whopping 3.2 billion Kenya shillings to print in the Greek firm that was tendered to do so.

There has been criticism from some circles who have claimed that the Greek Firm tendered to procure the papers has been compromised by Kenya Kwanza leader Moses Wetangula.

Moses Wetangula, on his part, however, has denied the claims and has hired Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi to represent him against the claims that have been leveled against him by the Azimio team.
