Are you following the ongoing vetting process of cabinet nominees? If you have you have noticed that they are declaring their financial net worth. Their declarations have left many Kenyans wondering whether these are hustlers as they said during campaigns. The current nominee to declare their net worth is Kipchumba Murkomen. He was elected as Elgeyo-Marakwet senator in the concluded elections. He was however appointed as a nominee for Road and Infrastructure cabinet secretary by president Dr. William Ruto.

While undergoing vetting before the parliament Mr. Kipchumba has declared his wealth to be around 550 million Kenya shillings. The details of his wealth include; Three parcel of land in Transzoia others in Narok, Kajaido and Nairobi. Two houses, one in Eldoret and Nairobi. Machineries which include vehicles and also a wheelbarrow. His current sources of income include, law practitioner, farming and also his salary as a senator.
These wealth declarations are leaving most Kenyans with a difficult question of whether they were conned or they made the right decision.
