Lomorukai will compete for the seat against Turkana Central MP John Lodepe, who is running for the UDA. His goals had been blocked by the IEBC, but now they are still alive.
He is one of the few politicians from the Rift Valley who is willing to run for the ODM despite the fact that the region is considered a stronghold for the UDA.
