President Ruto Finally Gives Order On Police Uniforms

Finally, President William Ruto has responded to the police officers' grievances regarding the issuing of their uniforms. This came after a group of cops in 2020 protested purported orders to pay for their own uniforms out of their own pockets.

However, on Tuesday, the president of the state gave Inspector-General of Police Japhet Koome instructions to make sure that the Police Service gives new recruits free clothing.

At the passing out parade for new police officers at the Kenya Police Training College in Kiganjo, Nyeri County, on Tuesday, January 10, Ruto said: "No officer should use their own money to acquire police uniforms when the government has completely funded the purchase of police uniforms."

Just today, all police officers received good news from President William Ruto as he issued this order to be followed.

Please, Mr. President, we congratulate you and your team for the security that we have in our country, and our aim is that, knowing that there are some counties where the crime rate is high, please let our police officers do their work so that everyone can enjoy their rights.
