Today, the anticipated axe on Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner Irene Marsit has finally fallen. Marsit was served with a letter terminating her appointment as the commissioner of the electral body.
Meanwhile, her lawyer who represented her during the IEBC tribunal hearings spent his day in Hospital with his mother who is suffering from a tumor in her body.
"Spent the afternoon with my mama Katarina at Aga khan University Hospital. My mum is under a great oncology medical team led by Dr. Manel Mansour," the tough talking lawyer tweeted.
Mr. Kipkorir however, is yet to give his opinion on the President's decision to effect the tribunal's recommendation to sack his client.
Irene Marsit was the only one of the four breakaway commissioners, alias the 'Cherera Four', who withstood the political storm and pressure to resign.
The rest of the four; Cherera, Nyanga'ya and Wanderi handed in their resignation letters before the beginning of the hearing by Justice Aggrey Muchelule-led tribunal.
