Governors who have already served for two terms are barred from Vying again in the same seat by the Kenyans constitution. Some county bosses do not want to end their political career and are seeking for other posts.
A good example is Busia governor who is Vying for Teso south parliamentary seat and Kivutha Kibwana who aims to be the Makueni senator. Kisii governor James Ongwae has spoken about news of him vying to Kisii senator.
The governor who has served for two terms has debunked claims that he doesn't want to retire in politics.
"Laughable, baseless imagination that cannot blur my commitment to our course- the 5th. I've served my people and time to exit is ripe," wrote Ongwae.
This has left many followers reacting on twitter. Some congratulated him for his decision. Below is the link to the tweet and How Kenyans received the news. Share and leave a comment.
