Judge Who Was Exposed by Mike Sonko in Hot Soup After Details of New Report Sent to President Uhuru

Chief Justice Martha Koome has sent to His Excellency the Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta a report recommending the removal of High Court Judge Justice Chitembwe.

This is after the investigations done by the Judicial Service Commission which she chairs recommended his removal over gross misconduct.

"Accordingly, the Commission resolved to send the Peition to His Excellency the President for his further action in accordance with article 168(4) of the constitution," Koome said.

This comes months after the Judicial Service Commission received the video recording from former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko exposing the top Judge.

Chitembwe had raised an objection to the videos and recordings that have been filed by former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko as evidence against him before the JSC.

The commission in its decision said that the objection did not raise pure points of law and that the admissibility of the audio and video recordings would be determined at the hearing of the petition.

This is a huge blow to the top Judge who is likely to be sent home by the Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta after going through the recommendation by the Judicial Service Commission later.
