Former Prime minister and current opposition leader of Kenya Raila Odinga has revealed that Uhuru Kenyatta was supposed to only support him but not campaign for him. Raila was hosted by Trevor Ombija in Citizen interview pertaining his take on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Wafula Chebukati. Raila told Ombija that Chebukati should be jailed because he is a criminal.
"Chebukati is a criminal who should be prosecuted and sent to jail," Raila told Trevor Ombija of Citizen TV.
Trevor questioned Raila as to whether the former head of state and Azimio chairman Uhuru Kenyatta abandoned during the campaigns when he wanted him most. Raila told Ombija that he is capable politician of his own calliber and he is able to campaign alone.
"Nothing could be further from the truth. Uhuru was not supposed to be campaigning for me. I am a politician of my own right capable of campaigning for myself and winning the election on my own and Uhuru knows it. Uhuru said he stood by me and not between me and Ruto," Raila said further.
