Four candidates ran for president in Kenya's most recent election. Candidates for the open position include Waihiga Mwaure of the Agano Party, Professor George Wajackoya of the Roots Party, Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja party and William Ruto.
Sources claim that Ruto has eliminated both Odinga's 48.09 percent and his 51.25 percent. According to data from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, this is true (IEBC). About half of all constituencies' votes have been totaled by the commission.
According to nation Ruto has 6,081,048 follow by Raila with 5,734,314 as by now.
By Tuesday, August 16, the election commission must also declare the winner of the president. In order to win, a candidate needs to get at least 25% of the vote in 24 of the 47 counties and 50% of the national vote plus 1%.
