Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has requested the outgoing inspector general Hillary Mutyambai that as he prepares to hand over power to the incoming IG,he should consider recommending introduction of maternity dresses for the expectant police officers on duty.He made the statement through his verified twitter handle on Thursday.
" Even Police Women get pregnant so @IG_NPS as you hand over to the new IG for the @NPSOfficial_KE , one wish for your remembrance is make sure they too get maternity dresses, "he twitted.
This follows just a day after it was announced by the president that Mutyambai would be taking early retirement due to health complications.
“After discussing with Mutyambai and in consideration of his service to our nation and his health situation, I have accepted that he will proceed on terminal leave,” said Ruto.
The head of state had further added that he'll be naming new inspector general with due course.
