Gachagua Alleges What Chiefs Nyeri Were Ordered To Do After People Refused To Welcome Raila

The Kenya Kwanza deputy President designate and Mathira Mp Hon Rigathi Gachagua has fired salvos at Raila Odinga and Martha Karua who pitched tents in Nyeri County today to spread the Azimio gospel.

While quoting his team's manifesto, he revealed that Kenya Kwanza speaks candidly on the restoration of dignity and respect of the public service and refraining from using it to manage and interfere with politics.

"I want to assure our chiefs and their assistants within this republic, that the kind of humiliation subjected to their colleagues in Mathira East sub county this morning will be a thing of the past in our administration. The chiefs and their assistants were ordered to dress in full uniform and mobilize wananchi to welcome the Azimio presidential candidate in Karatina," he revealed.

Gachagua further claims that the people declined to welcome the Azimio team prompting the deputy county commissioner to order the chiefs and their assistants while dressed in their official regalia to form part of the crowd so as to cheer and clap for the Azimio presidential candidate.

"As a matter of urgency, we must dignify the roles and duties of our administration officers by assigning them their core functions, and of utmost importance is serving the people of Kenya," Gachagua opined.

His Facebook post has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans.
