Comparing The Handshake Between Uhuru and Ruto, And Also With Raila At Mashujaa Celebration

Today, Kenyans mark their 2021 Mashujaa day national Celebrations in style which took place for the first time in Wang'uru stadium in Kirinyanga County.

Top Leaders were present led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, and other top government officials. Also present was Malawi President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who was the Guest of Honour.

However, much attention was drawn to the looming 2022 general election as the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta heats up.

With Deputy President William and ODM leader Raila Odinga sharing the same podium with the Head of State, netizens were quick to note the difference between President Uhuru Kenyatta's handshake with William Ruto and on the other hand with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

One notable difference one would see is the nature of handshake and eye contact between the two different handshakes with the President maintaining close eye contact with Raila Odinga which was not the case for Ruto.
