While in an interview with TV47 on Tuesday morning, Jubilee Party Member of Parliament, who happens to be part of the Deputy President Dr William Ruto's Tangatanga Movement, broke his silence defending his support for the Deputy President's 2022 presidential bid.
The Mathira Constituency Member of Parliament defended his support for William Ruto saying if he knew that the DP was not wanted in the country, then he would not be seen with him. According to the Mount Kenya region Legislator, the DP has a lot of support not only from central Kenya but also from other parts of the Republic.
Gachagua therefore stated that he is not stupid for supporting the DP's presidential bid and he cannot commit political suicide.
"I am not a stupid person, I cannot commit political suicide. If I know Ruto is not wanted you will not see me with him because at the end of it all politics is local." Mathira Constituency Legislator Hon Rigathi Gachagua said.
