While referring to the move that the president of the republic of Kenya his excellency William Ruto took to stop the importation of maize into the country, Mr. Sifuna who is the Nairobi senator has broke silence stating that they have fought for the first round and the move have stopped.
The government had a plan of importing maize into the country to boost and assist in managing the prolonged drought and femine, which is currently going on in different parts of the country. The government resolved in importation of GMO grains a move which has received resistance from majority of kenyans mostly individuals from the opposition political divide.
The president had hault maize importation, a move which the senator has referred to as a big bad wolf retreating, he went on explaining that he pray that the February in which the state is planning to import the grains, to find if they are a live meaning that they are still very ready to object the move.
