Amomg those people who had backed President William Ruto's Proposal to change some parts of the constitution was Nandi Senator Arap Cherargei.
In the proposal includes the creation of the Office of the opposition leader, Cabinet Secretaries to appear before the parliament for questioning amomg other proposals.
This move has been critised by a number of Azimio La Umoja side lawmakers and politicisns. In a statement today, Siaya Governor James Orengo had stated that a constitutional amendment should be done through a referendum and not through the parliamentary proceedings. Other politicians have stated that this was a Building Bridges Initiative Bill through the back door.
Senator Arap Cherargei has sent a good message to President William Ruto's over their proposal to alter the constitution. In his predictions, Senator Cherargei has predicted that the constitutional Ammendment 2022 Shall pass
