Youthful UDA Senator Under Siege as Court Issues Warrant of Arrest Against Him

New Trans Nzoi county Senator Allan Kiprotich Chesang is a man under siege after the courts issued a warrant of arrest against him.

Issuing the warrant on Friday, Milimani Senior Resident Magistrate Caroline Muthoni said the UDA senator had skipped court proceedings on Friday, November 11, 2022 over a fraud case he is facing.

It is reported that Kiprotich is wanted by the courts in a fraud case where he is being accused of forgery of over Ksh14 Million fake tender for the supply of gunny bags at the Ministry of Defence.

The youthful senator has been accused alongside eight other people. They are alleged to have defrauded a Managing Director of WIL Developers and Construction Limited Johnson Mwanzia Wambua Ksh14 million on the pretence that they had won a tender with the Ministry of Defence.

It is alleged that the senator together with his accomplices had forged documents claiming they had won a tender to supply Jute bags at the Department of Defence.

Others expected to be charged alongside the senator include Samuel Muremet Masaai, Clifford Okoth Ongugo alias Victor Wandera, David Kahi Ambuku, Elysha Onyango Oswago, Dedan Waithaka Mwangi,Cliff Moseti Obwogi, Esther Karungo Ngotho and Boniface Kamau Macharia
