With almost thirteen months to the long awaited 2022 general elections, President Uhuru has not been on good terms with his Deputy Ruto.
This has been evidenced by the endless wrangles being witnessed in the ruling Jubilee party where key Ruto allies have been ousted out of key positions from the party.
This has consequently led to speculations that Uhuru might after all not keep his word and endorse Ruto in 2022 as he had promised back then.
President Uhuru has also at the same time remained silent over his preferred succesor.
A few years ago, he had revealed that his 2022 choice was going to shock many.
His prediction seems to be coming to pass after allegations have today emerged on the man Uhuru has agreed to support.
According to a publication by the Star, it has been alleged that the head of state has finally agreed to support the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as his succesor.
As a result, Uhuru's key allies are now racing with time to plan on how Raila will begin preparing for the 2022 Elections with Uhuru's blessings.
Last week during the Madaraka Day Celebrations, President Uhuru had publicly admitted that he was going to work with the Former Prime Minister now and in the future hinting that Raila might be the man whom he might endorse as his succesor come 2022.
