In the midst of the turmoil in Raila's house, Ruto's United Democratic Party has been busy scheming against ODM in Raila's backyard. The DP's party has created an interim office in Kisumu county with it's chair being John Odenyo and Luko Ouko being it's County director. According to the appointed leaders, the stronghold party ODM is undergoing a transition and therefore it is the time for Ruto's UDA to try it's chance in the region. They are also relying on the possible alliance between UDA and ODM in order to get a soft spot from the Nyanza people just as Ford Kenya, Wiper and ANC received in 2017.
The management of the office while speaking to The Standard has also disclosed plans to open other offices in Migori and Kisii regions. The UDA Party leader William Ruto is also planning to visit the Kisumu region immediately after the coronavirus infection rates have decreased. The branch chair, Odenyo says that he is confident that the people of Nyanza will receive the deputy president warmly.
