Ayub Savula Issues Another Statement After Stating That He Is Kakamega County Co- Governor

Wonders will never cease! Incoming Kakamega county deputy governor Ayub Savula has come out to say the unthinkable. In a statement on social media, Savula has distanced himself from reports doing rounds that he views himself as co- governor.

In a statement, the former Lugari MP now alleges that the clips doing rounds on social — which are still posted on the same social media handles he has used to dispute the reports — are false.

He says that he has not at any point claimed that he is a co- governor with ODM party governor Fernandes Barasa. He claims that the clips being shared were recorded during the campaigning period even as he reiterated that Barasa is the county boss.

"I was misquoted. I did not say that I am a co governor. The clip doing rounds on social media are not current. They were recorded during the campaigns. The Constitution is clear. Fernandes Barasa is the governor of Kakamega and I (Savula) is his loyal deputy," he wrote.

Despite his apparent denial, the Video clip where he claims that he is the Kakamega co- governor is still posted on his Official Twitter account Here. He had claimed that he is also entitled to half of the county government. He had also claimed that he has been supporting William Ruto during the whole period and that he was coerced to join Azimio.
