Raila Odinga, the head of the Orange Democratic Movement Party, has suffered a serious setback in his campaign as a result of the defection of one of his party's members to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition.
Following a tweet from Deputy President William Ruto, it has been revealed that Selina Maitha, who was the running mate for ODM Governor aspirant Suleiman Shabal, has finally abandoned the party and has thrown her support behind Ruto.
In addition to Selina Maitha, a group of politicians have joined the team, and they have pledged to provide strong support for DP Ruto throughout his tenure in the region.
Alfred Mutua has joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition, according to rumors that surfaced just moments earlier.
According to Ruto's post, the following is the source link:
The Kenya Kwanza, Mombasa team has gotten a significant boost in recent weeks. Selina Maitha, the running mate of former ODM gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shabhal, as well as other key lieutenants, have joined our team in order to boost our coalition's grassroots support and bring meaningful change to Mombasa. https://t.co/kKohz5qx1a
